The Deep and Steep app is available on Google Play and the Apple Store. Search for “Deep and Steep” on your phone’s app store and follow the instructions to install.
App Mode #
From the home screen on the Insight or Stratos, open the menu and navigate to System->App Connect.
The altimeter must remain on the app connect screen during the entire session with the app. Exiting the app connect screen will disconnect and turn off bluetooth.
The Insight and Stratos will continue to track your altitude while in “App Connect” mode, and it is safe to use “App Connect” to transfer data to your phone while in the airplane.
To exit App Connect press the center button. This will cancel any data transfer in progress and return to the menu.
IMPORTANT: Always exit the App Connect screen prior to your skydive. Never rely on the altimeter to automatically switch to the altitude screen.
