Altitude Awareness

Tone alarms and voice announcements in freefall and under canopy

Soundlink
Altitude Awareness Redefined

The Soundlink is designed to fit seamlessly with our visual altimeters. Use the phone app to configure your Soundlink, or pair it with the Insight or Stratos and set your audible alarms directly from our GPS enabled altimeters. Choose up to 4 freefall and 4 canopy alarms, or enable altitude announcements to have the Soundlink speak altitudes during your skydive.

Alarms and announcements

Freefall alarms

Up to 4 alarm altitudes with distinct tone patterns.

Canopy alarms

Up to 4 alarm altitudes. After the final canopy alarm every other sound stops, so you can focus on landing.

4 presets

Save alarm sets for your most common jump profiles and switch between them from the button menu or wirelessly.

Altitude announcements

Spoken every 1,000 feet (500 m) in freefall, and every 100 feet under canopy below 1,500 feet.

Volume and pitch

Separate volume for freefall and canopy alarms/announcements. 5 volume levels.

Pair once

Easy and secure: the Soundlink speaks a six-digit passkey when you pair, so nobody else can pair to your audible. Wireless connect

Settings from your phone or altimeter

Alarms, announcements, volume and pitch are set from an Insight, Stratos or the Deep and Steep app. Settings

Units, time and LZ offset synced

Connect to an Insight or Stratos and the Soundlink picks up your altitude units, time, date and active LZ offset.

Power

12 months of standby

From a full charge the Soundlink can sit ready for up to a year2.

20-minute charge

Enough to get through a day of jumping.

1.5 hour full charge

From 0% to 100% in about 1 hour 30 minutes.

USB-C

Charging with USB Power Delivery.

Low power by default

Bluetooth stays off until you turn on wireless connect, or until a connected announcement needs it on the climb.

  1. Advanced announcements require an active connection to Insight/Stratos altimeters. Voice altitudes and vertical speed are native to the Soundlink and do not require a wireless connection.
  2. Battery life while jumping depends on the features in use. Bluetooth connections and frequent alarms and announcements drain the battery more quickly.
