Deep and Steep LLC does not sell any information about customers, purchases, or website visitors.
All credit card processing is completed through Stripe, a 3rd party vendor. Deep and Steep LLC does not store or have access to customer credit card information. The only information stored is strictly necessary to complete an order, such as: email address, name, information about items purchased, and the customer’s physical address for shipping.

1. Introduction
Welcome to Deep and Steep (the “App”), operated by Deep and Steep LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. We have designed our App to give you control over your personal data, particularly your skydiving logbooks and GPS track data.
2. Information We Collect
To provide our services, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you create an account, we require an email address and a display name. Your display name does not have to be your real legal name (pseudonyms are welcome). We do not collect your physical address or phone number.
- Activity and Location Data: The App generates data based on your use, specifically your skydiving logbook entries and precise GPS track data from your jumps.
- Device and Technical Data: We automatically collect basic technical information to keep the App running smoothly, such as your device model, operating system version, and anonymous crash reports.
3. How Your Data is Stored (Local vs. Cloud)
We believe your jump data belongs to you. Therefore, we offer two distinct storage methods:
- Local Storage (Default): By default, your skydiving logbooks and GPS track data are stored only locally on your device. We do not have access to this data unless you explicitly choose to share it with us.
- Guest Mode: Using the app in guest mode clears your data each time you leave the app, and guest mode data is never uploaded to the cloud.
- Cloud Syncing (Opt-In): You may choose to enable cloud syncing to back up your data or access it across multiple devices. Only when you explicitly activate this feature will your logbooks and GPS data be securely uploaded to and stored on our cloud servers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Provide customer support and communicate with you regarding account updates.
- Securely back up your jump logs and GPS data (if you opt-in to cloud syncing).
- Analyze technical data to fix bugs and improve the App’s performance.
5. Sharing and Selling of Data
We may share or sell data to third-party partners (such as analytics providers or industry researchers), but only in a strictly aggregated and anonymized format. For example, we might share de-identified data regarding general dropzone popularity. Any data shared or sold is stripped of identifying information and cannot be traced back to you or your specific account.
6. Your Global Privacy Rights
Depending on your location—including the EU/EEA (GDPR), Canada (PIPEDA), and the USA (CCPA and other state laws)—you have specific rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you on our cloud servers.
- Right to Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You can delete your cloud-synced data at any time through the App settings, and you can request the complete deletion of your account, data and associated email address.
- Right to Correction: You can update your display name or email address at any time in the App.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: If you have opted into cloud syncing, you can turn it off at any time. Data moving forward will only be stored locally.

7. Data Security and Retention
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data both in transit and at rest on our cloud servers. We retain your account information and cloud-synced data only for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently purged from our servers.
8. International Data Transfers
Deep and Steep LLC is based in the United States. If you opt-in to cloud syncing, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By creating an account and using our cloud services, you consent to this transfer, acknowledging that your data will be protected under the strict standards outlined in this policy.
9. Children’s Privacy
Given the nature of the sport, our App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 (in the US) or 18 (in the EU/Canada). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
