# Soundlink Settings

The Soundlink’s volume, alarm pitch, altitude units, time, date and LZ offset are set from a connected Insight, Stratos or the Deep and Steep app. Alarms, presets and voice announcements are covered in [Alarms and Announcements](https://deepandsteep.io/knowledge/alarms-and-announcements/); see [Wireless Connect (Bluetooth)](https://deepandsteep.io/knowledge/wireless-connect-bluetooth/) for how to connect.

## Audio Settings

| Freefall volume | 1 to 5 (low to high) |
| --- | --- |
| Canopy volume | 1 to 5 (low to high) |
| Alarm pitch | 1 to 5 (low pitch to high pitch) |

## Units, Time, Date and LZ Offset

These settings are synced to the Soundlink over the Bluetooth connection. What is synced depends on what the Soundlink is connected to.

| Connected to | What is synced to the Soundlink |
| --- | --- |
| Insight or Stratos | Altitude units (feet or meters), time, date, and the active LZ offset |
| Deep and Steep app | Time and date |

**Insight or Stratos:** The sync happens when the Bluetooth connection is established. You can also force it from the Settings menu on the Insight or Stratos.

**App:** The app has its own controls to select the altitude units, and to configure an LZ offset and save it to the Soundlink.
